Old World Charm

Lauren and Luke - July 18th

The wedding ceremony was held in the Moreton Bay College Chapel which was adorned with flower clusters on each pew (these later decorated the mantelpiece at the reception) plus one larger display near the altar. Lauren's dress was by Elizabeth Rosentreter (in house fashion designer for Selective Fine Fabrics) and her Juliet cap custom made by Kate from JAR Millinery.

The bride's slim teardrop style bouquet featured spray roses, white Callas, freesias, hyacinth clusters, thryptomene and ivy berry highlighted with velvet grey dusty miller foliage. While the bridesmaids had posies with a similar mix including sweet peas and stunning black Callas.

Back at the Courthouse Restaurant at Cleveland where the reception was held colour was woven into the table displays with burnt orange, apricot and claret flowers – similar to those that would grow in an English country garden (stock, snapdragons, spray roses and freesias). Being a winter wedding here in QLD this lent warmth and ambience to the old world charm of the venue.
