Real Life Wedding

A Fishy Story

Kate and Luke – April 4th
Studio Impressions Photography: – “... judged the number one wedding studio in the country”.

The theme for this wedding was the classic black and white/ivory look, so of course normal gold fish wouldn't suit – hence the Black Moors (two per cylinder vase). We added various solutions to the water prior to putting the fish in, so they all swam around very happily. On top of these vases was a large display of white lilies and orchids with willow and fairy lights and with the added lighting effects the room looked amazing. This was held in the Queen's Ballroom at the Brisbane Hilton Hotel (a venue sadly not publicized enough as it's a great room and much smaller than the Grand Ballroom).

The bouquets also featured lilies and orchids with the addition of tulips in Kate's trailing bouquet – simple and elegant. Even the lolly buffet had black and white tempting treats and we loved the wrapped chocolate display photographed so artistically by Adam (from S.I.). I'm sure guests would have been fighting over what wording to choose even though the chocolates were all the same inside.

Special guests and family took the fish home as living momentos of a magical evening.
